Um, look. And sorry if this sounds curt. I'm not stupid. I get that the concept is in itself meant to be disturbing. They are in effect taking away not just a person's human rights, but erasing them completely away. There was an entire post that went with the above, but I was too tired at that hour of the morning to post it and I'm also sure people will eat me. There is a reason I don't meta.

I get the characters are interesting and they're exploring the concept, yada yada... I have been watching it after all.

But in season 1, they at least seemed to attempt to have a more balanced moral compass, with Ballard after them etc. They also had more to the storylines. Who are these dolls? Why did they join the Dollhouse? Who is behind the Dollhouse? etc. I don't have the time to think of the other questions.

Anyway, for me, this season is all about how else to disturb the audience, and far less about any controls and far less about the other aspects of the show. The mother instinct and the serial killer are just the last straws for me at the moment. I may still watch it, I have at least one more to watch, but I'm not enjoying the ethical dilemmas etc. being set up in the way it was possible to early in S1. I feel like this show will never answer any questions or have a satisfactory ending.... it will go on like Lost until people get annoyed or are pushed too far and the show gets axed.

I am a great believer in the British model of TV these days. Have a story arc, make it, finish it. *hands*

And I will now erase my stupid post if necessary.
