This is excellent! I really like the inter-twining of the past and present, Sam settling in with and without Dean, and his attempts to be normal. I love the idea of Sam working on his statistics - of course being dropped off at school by a brother like Dean would lessen the bullying! And I like this way of Sam and Jess meeting - it reinforces that she's not just a girlfriend-type.
