I realised suddenly that I hadn't seen all of Hornblower and I felt the need to rectify the situation.

I'm probably too hopeful here, but can anyone recommend some good Hornblower fiction?
Gen please. Preferably involving Bush, Hornblower and Kennedy in any combination. Hmm?

You know, it's been so long since I read them, but Stormy Waters and its sequel Unchartered Territory were what got me reading fanfic again back in 2004. They may be crap. Memory is a weird thing :)

Most of my other recs are sadly not Gen.

Thanks! I'm gonna make me a list and (once I've fulfilled my ficcy obligations) I'm gonna take a few nights to read some fanfic. You know I haven't really read any in ages. *shrugs*

I've not been reading as much. And I'm all over the place when I do read. When I was in SGA fandom I'd read almost exclusiviely McShep, but now I'm reading a Merlin fic here, and Pysch fic there, pop over to bandom land and read a panic fic and then onto some other weird obscure fandom for more fic. I feel kind of schizo :)

Was reading Hornblower fic the other day too. I love that series.

Gotta say, I feel that way about my LJ in general, not just the fic I read. I was looking at it the other day and wondering why anyone would friend me. I mean, I squee about Doctor Who here and Demons there and make a random set of icons about some show nobody as ever seen... Weird. I'm somewhat over Supernatural (as far as it being my ONLY fandom), to be honest, and I feel a little afloat. Just doing whatever takes my fancy. :)

Yes, exactly. And there's nothing out there at the moment that I love enough to get really super excited over. Except for music. I've gotten back into music in a big way, but then I feel bad for clogging up my flist with posts about bands they've never heard of.

Hee, I don't mind. It's the only way I learn about new bands these days. There's about three of you on my f-list that I can always trawl if I am desperately bored with my music. :)

But, yeah. I hope this isn't some sign of me getting old and boring, but I like a lot of things well enough to get excited for a small amount of time, but I don't cling to shows in the same way I used to. I love David Tennant as the Doctor, but I'm waiting in anticipation to see what Eleven brings to the role. I rather things end then get stale now adays, which is why I've decided British TV rules. :)

And wow, rambling much? :P
