I can't help but notice, this is the first interview to mention the convention the guys are out for...and they got the name of it wrong. Supanova was last year guys. Check your facts! *facepalm* Cute interview though. Thanks to charlidos for pointing it out. Are we really known as the women-hating female fandom? I love the SPN chicks. :P

Not a bad interview! LOL at getting the convention name wrong - I bet the organisers weren't too happy about that!

Personally, there are numerous female characters on SPN that I like/liked/enjoyed - while I would hesitate to describe myself as "women-hating", I have to admit that I'm often frustrated by their choice of actresses.

Yeah, I can go along with that. I think they write a reasonable female character, but the actresses probably weren't strong enough to carry them off from the word go.

ETA: Agree about the female characters thing! I really liked the way Old!Ruby was portrayed and I loved Bela because of her complexity. And there were a ton of female characters before that that I liked too! :(

And yeah, I was a huge Bela fan and I actually think New!Ruby is awesome! Old!Ruby became awesome the longer she was arounf though and MEG! OMG, I loved Meg! :)

Eh, New!Ruby hasn't grown on me. But Meg WAS awesome (Nicki Cox too! -> [see 4x02!]) :D

I know, everyone seems to hate New!Ruby. But I don't mind standing my ground alone. :P I just find her character as a whole is fascinating. Before she just popped up and helped them and you assumed she was really evil. Then it was like, noooo, she has to be evil, but they were really pushing her not being evil. And even now, with the blood and stuff, we still don't know her motives. I'm waiting for Kripke to spring something big on us eventually. :)
