Come on, I know you've all been reading Merlin fic! Where's the good stuff?

Has anyone found any good Merlin (anyone can be in it) really adventurous sword-fighting, horse-riding, magic-weilding.... etc. fic? I am having withdrawals.

I know you'll probably all find it odd, but I actually have no desire to read Merlin/Aurthur at this point. But I'd LOVE some good close-friendship gen. I'm sure if I hang around long enough the slash will grow on me, like with SGA. It made a nice change. I just need to wait for you all to find the good authors so I'm not put off immediately. :P


Oooh haha! I knew there must be Morgana/Gwen femmeslash. *flips through comm* Lets hope there's something fun! EDIT: Nope it's cringe-worthy. *shudders and goes to find gen*

Don't suppose there's be Morgana and Gwen Gen? That'd be way cooler. Two sword-weilding women kicking butt and fobbing off the boys... :)

And I want a nice icon! I just can't make a nice Morgana or Gwen icon. Weird! Actually all my attempts at Merlin icons have failed miserably. Hmm.

I see you found camelot_haven I am about to approve your membership. Hopefully the non slash fic will start coming in droves :). I'm the same though, I can't hack the slash, but love the friend stuff.

There is also merlin_drabble for non-slash drabbles, but no one has posted there yet.

I love the sword fighting and horse riding! My favourite part of Merlin is the swishing of swords LOL.

I'm really not a huge slasher. I do tend to find when I get further into a fandom I can read slash, but it's a matter of a few select authors. I hope there's some great gen though, because there's such potential for adventure and sheer fun, not to mention the h/c and magic and mystery and just all round good fic! :) If I can ever figure out the character voices I'm sure I'll join in there. :)

And thank you. I'm sure I'll make Camelot_haven my mainstay place for reading if it takes off like the spn_gen comm did. :) Plus the het pairings in Merlin are adorably feisty. I'm sure they'll get a good look-in!
