Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.
Oooh this is hard... I have this weird attachment to quite a few of my fics apparently...I'm cheating cos there's six under the cut, but the sixth was half a vidding project, so I think I can add it as a bonus or something. :)
1) Knee High to a Sasquatch
Rating: Gen, G, pre-series
Summary: Though Sam didn’t realise it, his training started before he could even walk or talk. Mostly happy moments through Sam’s childhood (age 1-5)
I was literally taking moments from my own childhood and Winchester-ising them and I still really love it. :)
2) Awakening of Dreams
Rating: Mature, Gen, Angst, no sex or bad language.
Notes: Fifty square miles of real estate. Fifty square miles and Dean still wasn’t answering his phone. Tag to episode 2x20 – What is and what should never be.
I thought I was being rather clever. lol. And I still like the ambiguity of it. :)
3) Before the Night is Over
Rating: Teen, Set after the S2 finale, Gen (Bobby/Ellen)
Summary: Then all that was left was more coffee, more Jack, and a lot of old stories, because there was no way anyone was ready to try and sleep. Set directly after the events of AHBL pt2.
This one came out of the blue and just wrote itself. The Bobby/Ellen also just happened. After such a tense time and so much loss, Ellen just wanting that contact seemed right. And Bobby is such a gentleman. I dunno, I just like the general calm after the storm feel that I ended up with here. :)
4) Once more into the fire
Supernatural/Constantine
Rating: Teen, Gen, Future!fic (for both fandoms)
Summary: Sam is determined to get his brother out of hell.
Umm, I just like it. I know it's out-dated now, but it was an AU that would never happen anyway, but I felt like that is the Sam that you'd get if there was no Dean around to keep his spirits intact and we've seen that in this recent season... so yeah, I like it. Plus it was a cross-over that had to happen. :)
5) Reasons for Sleep
Rating: PG, Beckett/Weir
Spoilers: None
Summary: Elizabeth gave a rueful smile, swirling the amber liquid in the bottom of the glass. “Is this what you recommend to all your sleep-deprived patients?”
It was calm and sweet and I still have as soft spot for those two. I swear they'd be hanging out together...both left behind to worry in Atlantis while the teams go out exploring. And it was fun to create bits of back-story for them both. :)
6) Sateda - A different kind of Commentary
Rating: PG, crack!fic, Wraith Commentators et al.
Spoilers: Totally spoils Sateda (3x4)
Summary: Well, it’s a sunny day here on Sateda, and we’re reporting to you live from the Hive ship orbiting the planet. Conditions here are absolutely perfect for the hunt today.
Did you see the number of comments on this puppy?? I had so much fun with this one and apparently so did others! :D
