Six of One by Vehemently (Gen, rated R by the author for language, scariness, violence, and sexuality -- In my opinion, it's not much worse than the show itself though.)
This fic is the most awesome fanfic I have read in a really long time!! It's in 8 parts and when you read the first couple of parts, you'll go from "This is confusing me to all hell" to "OMG! must. keep. reading!" It's just made of awesome and I can't really say much about it without killing the plot for everyone. Suffice to say, when you reach the end you'll want to read it all over again, so just go read it! I can't recommend is enough! :D

This one is just really good for the character believability. It had me from the first few lines of the phone conversation between a scared 13yr old Dean and Pastor Jim. I would have lavished praise on it then, but then John made me wibble and there's even a twist. Just absolutely excellent! :D
The sequel to this, The Unspoken (Gen, R, S2 timeframe: post-Roadkill), is a little more wordy than its predecessor, but in this case I think it works well. I have no idea where Kripke is taking us with the show, but if he had taken us here, I would have bought it totally.
These three are going in the memories! :D
