military_beta. Anyway, it's a great community, with several military types all ready and willing to answer all your stupid questions about military stuff, so that you can get it all right in your fic.
No longer will there be people *headesking* when I make Sheppard use the wrong weapon or wear ridiculously heavy body armour (oops!).
If you don't believe me, just check out the question I asked over here and learnt all about body armour, how useless those little vests they wear on SGA actually are, all about P90's and how deadly they are and various stuff about handguns.
I love this site. Hopefully my fics will no longer say stuff like "he raised his P90 and fired"... nonono, I can elaborate and say stuff that makes me sound smart.
Oh and if you happe to be in the military or know lots of stuff about the military jump on board as a member and help out other clueless people like me. *big grin*
