I decided to take this vid down, because it's not that good. That said, if you do want it for some reason, just let me know, I can reupload for you.

So, I made a new vid. This one is...well cheesy! I was basically playing with effects and things in wmm and it's not that great. If I enduce epileptic seizures with the odd bit of flashing...sorry! That said, feel free to download it and knock yourself out.

Fic rec! With posters!

I was perusing the latest artword challenge entries and this one is really creative.

Wander over and read: Four Quarters by trinityofone, with gorgeous poster art by wychwood (McKay/Sheppard, rated R)

Summary: This is a lot of fun, but slightly angsty with the intentional canon references. It's basically an AU in which Shep, McKay and others form a band as kids and work up to stardom and it's inherent problems. (Bleh that description does not do it justice...sorry)

I'm becoming something of an AU freak these days!! I just find it so darn clever how people incorporate the characters into a new environment or scenario.
For those people avoiding slash on my flist, please at least look a the very safe and non-R-rated poster art scattered throughout the fic! Oh and the R-rating applies only to one small scene in the fic and you can probably skip over if you truly must.

Damn you photoshop...can anyone help?

Is anyone good with Photoshop? I was paying with it adn making a pretty picture (well ok for me) and all of a sudden it refuses to let me do anything. It keeps displaying the message "Could not use X tool because the target channel is hidden."

*frowny*

Anyone know what that means? I can't find anything that says hide/unhide channel and I have no idea what it's talking about.

I decided to have a play with photo shop CS, since I currently have a 30 day trial version, and was inspired by the fic Do Not Go Gentle by forlornhope42 which I read avidly every week. In the fic John is a Leukemia patient and Rodney is sent to keep him company...of course they fall in love. (Currently up to chapter 65 and still going...I don't mind if it keeps on forever. :D)

The idea (quoted below) touched me and hence the butterfly in the picture. Also in the background is the beach and blue sky of Wisteria Cove, which becomes John and Rodney's place of sanctuary while John recovers.
