Nabbed this meme from
ljmckay, but I've seen it in other journals. I'm not sure who has done this, so feel free to tag yourself if you want.
Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick ten people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.
1. Timtam slams with coffee/vanilla ice cream and maple syrup (Both at once = small orgasm!)
2. Non-work-related email - I light up like a kid with a toy every time I get a comment on LJ or someone sends me a hello. *grins*
3. Being happy about something I've written or made and sharing it with friends.
4. Running along in front of a really strong wind, with my arms out like an aeroplane...and when I'm really happy I even make the aeroplane noises. Try it one day! (disclaimer: I'm not responsible for any strange looks you get in the process, but it is worth it. Really!)
5. Learning something entirely new and that I never would have deliberately set out to know.
6. That adrenaline high when your brain releases endorphins after a really great work out. (It doesn't happen often, but when it does the buzz keeps me high for hours.)
7. Watching TV/movies that I really like and rewatching the bits that make me emotional (laughter/tears/woobie love...etc.) over and over again. (Crazy? Possibly! Living by oneself has some advantages.) Note: This is made even better when done with the aide of point 1.
8. Having a good impromptu mutual teasing fest. with friends. Um, I'll try to explain that. It's like when you exchange insults perfectly and all in jest. The more people the better. (Prob still doesn't make sense. :p)
9. Seeing something in the everyday that is beautiful. You know when you're just walking along and something makes you stop and stare and sigh and lose track of time? (eg. a magnificent sunset, a leaf floating on the wind, an adorable puppy, a cute couple so into each other their faces are alight with it...) Soppy I know.
10. Reading something that I can't put down. (I'm sure that one's not new, but yeah.)
