13 years? You had him for a long time. Not that this is any consolation, I know. One does miss even those small animals so very much (I've had budgies since I was 18, sometimes up to 10. At the moment I have five and love them dearly).

Hugs you much

Thank you. He was pretty special.

We had him since he was only a few weeks old and couldn't even fly. He'd fly around the house and only land where he was supposed to and sit on your shoulder and make little churbling noises and chew your hair. He played soccer with my mum's rings and would chase your pen around when you were trying to write.

Plus we taught him to say all these silly movie catch phrases and stuff (Hasta la vista bebe, the truth is out there, I taught I taw a puddy cat...)

He was really special, but he's been sick for a while now, so at least it wasn't a huge shock. It's still a very sad day.

Thanks for the hugs. *hugs back*

I'm so sorry to hear that your budgie has past... He sounded like a wonderful bird... *hugs*

He was. He was the best budgie ever. *sigh*
To think he was a joke gift for my dad's birthday and we got to keep him for 13 years.
Thank you.

Oh no, that's sad to hear. :(
They may be small beings, but the place they take up in our hearts is big! I know that, I cry every time I lose one of my goldfish.

Oh, *hugs* my dear.

He had a very long run with people who loved him a lot, which is fantastic.

Did your parents make it back, or are they still overseas?

*hugs to you all*

Little birdies mean a lot to us all.

My parents are still overseas and my sister is at the snow. He was being looked after by the lovely friend of my sister though and she found him on the bottom of the cage. My sis is going to bury him in the garden next to the cat on her way back home. *sigh*

"Little birdies mean a lot to us all" So true, I'll miss him when I go home.

Thanks. *hugs*
