So, I want my computer to do a few things and I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for either freeware or something that's already on my computer that I haven't discovered.
1) I want to be able to use my PC to set an alarm. It's all part of my 'I will go to bed before 1am' plan. So, it seemed like something my computer should be able to do - you know beep at a certain time - but I can't find that function anywhere. Any suggestions??
(EDIT: Google gave me THIS page. I'm gonna try some of them tonight. :D)
2) I want an organiser that perhaps has a calendar on the desktop that you can click on the day for current diary events. Perhaps with a password would be good. Oh and if I could transfer events between my laptop and PC that would be good too. Anyone have a suggestion?
3) (EDIT: SOLVED) Finally, today I was just using Word and I accidentally made it paste a screen capture of the current Word screen I was looking at into the Word document. Now I can't figure out how I did it and it's bugging me, because it could be really useful. As usual the paperclip is no help at all. Can anyone tell me what I did? Is this a general command that can be used in all Microsoft documents that I just didn't know about?
*hugs to ya all*
Lizzie
EDIT: 4) How do I stop LJ logging everyone's IP address?? It's annoying me.

I'll have to have a fiddle with it later and see if I can make sense of it.
Thanks. :D
