It's not like she even says it under her breath, it's an out and out statement. Has anything more been said about it, as in whether there's some sort of feud going on or if it was a gee-up?
Not in the same league, but THIS (http://www.yourtv.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=784950&showcomments=true) may also crack you up. I watch the Today show and they get themselves in trouble this way quite regularly and innocently.
It's just that the way she said it made it more cutting than what she actually said- she could've said it in a gentler or more comedic tone, so I can't so easily believe the it was just a joke!
OMFG that one is the best! That's hilarious! I love how you hear one of the guys off camera going 'what the f--!' after they walk off. Oh my god, that was actually amusing rather than awkward!
I can't bear to watch the Today show anymore. I can't stand the hosts, and I can't stand their segments (some sort of cosmic law says that I'll end up working on a breakfast show someday). But it doesn't surprise me that "the Stef" would talk about having a "sharp stabby thing" beside his bed. OMG.
The assumption over her rather pointed comment was that there's a personal history, while an interview with Belinda Heggen that I've read says that he's always trying to catch her out with little comments, and she just happened to throw out a pretty tough one in return this time.
Thing I find most amusing? I saw this clip first after seeing the link on Wil Wheaton's twitter feed, with a title something "This is why the term PWNED was invented" Channel Ten News/Sports Tonight has gone global... ;)
I don't mind the Today Show. Sunrise on the other hand... *shudders* There is of course the 24 hour news channel now too.
Well there's doesn't have to be personal history. I have read the same news where she says it was just getting back at him, but either way it is amusing. *hands*
