It was a Bashir and O'Brien episode too, which made me squee (loudly - the joy of the parents not being here).

Gods I still have such a crush on Bashir. I used to daydream about him as a teenager. lol

I think this is the one series I don't have on DVD that I would absolutely love. Why is it so expensive? *rails at sky* I may still have to slowly buy it. *squidges Bashir*

Also, why are there no good icons of Ezri? Will pay with fandom goodies for an icon post featuring smiling Ezri. Ezri with Bashir always good too. Throw in some O'Brien and Garek for my complete adoration. :)

*giggles* Ah, the memories. So must find me some DS9 DVDs to love and have. :)

In other news, I may have bought yet another addictive iPod game. Oops. Plants vs Zombies is hilarious. *braaaains*

The Trek series are *crazy* expensive. Ditto with anything that's aired up here on HBO or Showtime. I guess it has something to do with rights, but as a consumer I can't figure out why one show can sell for $39.95 and something else (with fewer episodes) is $59.95. Worse yet, in the case of ST:TNG (which was "my" Trek), over $100 a season. Crazy.

Mum said JB Hifi has them on for ~$33 per season.

They have them for a reasonable price online at the JB store, but then they charge almost $10 shipping. At JB itself, there was only S4 left at my local store. The season where Worf was introduced and hence not my favourite, but I'm still hoping it'll be there when my voucher comes through from work. The lady at the counter said that was a promotional price, so if I order the rest of the series in it's be $65. Still a far cry from the $100 they used to be, but more than I want to pay. I'll really peruse all the stores when I have the voucher in my hand. :)

Oh I grew up with TNG. When I was living in Holland with my family as a kid, it was the only show we all sat down to watch every week without fail. I still feel calm, safe and happy when I hear Patrick Stewart's voice. :)

I wouldn't know where to start buying it, but it has gone down a fair bit in price from the $100 they used to charge.

Make that $200 if we're talking the full price...*is still pissed off at how much I paid for my Trek series*

:-D

I had to trawl Trek icon communities to even find some nice Bashir ones...

From: [identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com

I have that one too, from the last time we trawled comms. :) But I found a couple of new ones I like. *points* SO I nabbed them.

Have you seen the movie Cairo Time with Siddig? It's billed as a romance -- and is in it's own kind of way -- but is a really great movie & he's brilliant in it.

I own it! It's lovely. Reminded me of Lost in Translation, but in a much nicer setting. :D

So I clicked the link you posted in that comment and now here I am totally jealous of how you own Cairo Time! It hasn't even come out in theatres here yet!

Aaahhh! I loved Bashir too. I shall take a stroll down memory lane and squee with you. DS9 was my favorite Trek.

He is now my secret forty-something crush ... tee-hee, since I only discovered DS9 and Sid last year. For the record, I am 6 weeks older than Sid.

Hee! Well, to be honest, I'm not sure how old he is, but he's still got it. :D

Oh it'll probably never be released here in Oz. I poked at Canadian Amazon and they got it in stock for me. *G* I do love Amazon customer service. And here in Australia, we can play all region codes, so yeah. It's a lovely movie. I do hope you get to see it. If you can play the Canadian region code, it's not particularly pricey from there. (www.amazon.ca) :)

Edit: Also, sorry for somehow missing your comment earlier.
