Does anyone know what you do when your iPod no longer syncs with iTunes? It seems to back up, but it refuses to sync. Does it do that when there are too many songs for it or something? Ideas? If I've already broken it, I'll cry.

I had this problem with the last iTunes update. Are you getting any sort of error code? If you are, start playing an iTunes song and then pause it - with the song paused, plug your iPod into your computer and it should begin to synch.

Yeah it's since the update. Doesn't seem to be working for me though. Darn. Thanks.

When you plug in your ipod, on the left navigation there should be a something that shows that your ipod is plugged in "example: Kitty's Ipod" or whatever you called it. If you click on it, it shows at the bottom a sync button that you can press. Did you ever try that?

Yeah, it tries, but then I get an unknown error unable to sync message. :(

Thanks though

Thanks, I'm not sure which instructions you mean though. I did turn it on and off and I restarted my computer, but neither helped. My iPod isn't frozen, it just gets and unknown error saying it can't sync. :(

I do get an error btw. It says "unknown error" and that it can't sync the iPod.
