Wow, a piece that says so much with so few words :) I think you really nicely evoke the feeling of the aftermath, and it's a lovely ending, two people just being comfortable and comforted by each other's presence.
Hee to Dean falling asleep at the table. I would've pegged him as someone who'd struggle to stay awake as long as conversation was going on, like a little kid who doesn't want to miss out. That he falls asleep shows him as a little bit vulnerable, that he's not the "I'm in control of what's going on here" kind of guy think of him as.
