Dang. This is very, very nice. You give it an emotional truth, a resonance that is absolutely in character. I like that you give them this physical proximity, even intimacy, but you avoid the shmoop and let them be who they really are. They're still clunky about the things that matter and clumsy with each other's hurts, but they try so hard, and I just adored Dean's "Do we need to talk about this?" That's just so *Dean*.
