Hmmm

Space orders revamped Primeval

"...younger, sexier cast." Oh dear. This sounds all too familiar.

Oh noes... though to be fair I have often wondered what other countries did about big glowing anomolies popping up as I assumed it wasn't just a UK event lol xx

I think some of the books take place in other countries. :)
I'm not worried about another group making more Primeval, it's the "younger ,sexier" bit that makes me cringe. I mean they're pretty young and sexy right now. Becker, Jess, Abbey, Conner... Right?! It'll be interesting to see if it's replacing the British version, coexisting with it (guest stars swapping about could be awesome!) or just a remake (boo!).

Yes, because the current cast is so past it. Admittedly this is from the perspective of a 40-something but still...

*rolls eyes*

They've got a cast of young things atm. Jess, Conner, Becker, Abbey... and they're all sexy. *eyeroll* I hope this isn't a replacement for our lovely British version. So far Canadian/American remakes of British shows have been pretty awful!

I am pinning my hopes on the Candian element in this as maybe allowing it to be okay! Or at least resemble a distant cousin!

True! It's got more of a chance than the American remakes anyhow. *crosses fingers*

The books do tend to be in other countries, and do all the thing you'd rightly expect they couldn't afford on a tv budget. For tie-in novels the 2 I've read so far seem pretty decent, though they have the downside you know the OCs will pretty much all die and they can't do major plot development since they slot into the show timeline.

Yeah, I just finished one. It was action-packed and really quite fun! Like Primeval meets Matthew Reilly! *aces*
