mayblossom pointed out THIS, article in which Colm Meany talks a little about the American version of Life on Mars. He doesn't give away much, but what also interested me is that he mentions the writer's strikes and says that the "Screen Actors Guild" is also planning a strike. Huh.

I still don't quite understand why they're remaking LoM. I suppose if it's set in America there's quite a lot of differences there to play on, but I wish more British TV shows would get picked up by the commercial stations here and in America. They're great! :)

Anyway, I'll just sit back and see. I bet the American version is the one that makes it to our commercial stations too.

Lol, I didn't know there was an American and British version of Queer as Folk. OMG, I can't even imagine if they tried to redo Torchwood or one of my other favorite shows. I think that they would fail miserably if they did. Most of the shows get canceled, even if they do throw some big American celebrities on them.
