Another Fic rec
String Theory by Toft (NC-17, McKay/Sheppard, AU)
Where do I start? This is just one of those AU's I will read over and over again. I haven't played in a band for years and yet this story brought back the familiar rush of being a part of something so much bigger than just you. The rise and swell of the music and sheer exhilaration of a piece played to perfection.
John is a violinist and Rodney a conductor/composer who discovers him. It's just beautiful and I'm all teary-eyed now.
