I updated Firefox to 4.0.1 because it was very insistent about it, but now Firefox keeps crashing. Anyone else having issues?

I've just been wondering if I should update because mine's acting wonky! I updated at work and it hasn't crashed, so IDK...

Hmm, I don't know at all. :(

I've been having problems with firefox too! At first I thought it was because I'm also using a program called "self-control" which blocks several websites.... but I've closed that program now and its still stuffing up so I've resorted to safari.

Hmm, I was considering trying google chrome. Firefox has been really buggy the last few versions I've had. Interesting it isn't just me too.

I have it on my laptop (Vista) and it's been working just fine for a week now. I'm always nervous about upgrading for fear the new version will create more headaches for me. Maybe try reinstalling it or rolling back to the previous version. Good luck getting it all to work.

Yeah, I may do that. Thanks for the suggestion. Or I was thinking I could try google chrome finally. I have a feeling it is something to do with windows 7, since it's been buggy for a few upgrades now. Cheers

I'm on a different browser, but my Airport updated last night and it took three reboots before it would reconnect to the net.

Do you have add-ons? Can you disable them all, then add them back one by one to see if one of them is conflicting with the new version?

hmm, could be. Firefox does automatically check for compatible add-ons though and disables the ones that are incompatible when it upgrades. Thanks for the idea. I'll have a look.
