*shifty look*

I may have just ordered two Canadian films on DVD solely because they star Joshua Jackson and one has him on a motor bike.

I think this whole getting a credit card thing... possibly a bad idea. *pokes Amazon*

Lol. I've bought things for less:P

LOL! Love the icon! :D

Oh, Joshua! He was the very best thing about Dawson'd Creek, even though is character had the most ridiculous arc in the history of television.

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-01-28 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I never watched Dawson's Creek, but I've seen pictures and he looks so young. lol

I watched maybe one episode a season of Dawson's, including the last one, and was so pleased when Pacey rather than Dawson got the girl.

Oh, be careful! The combination of Amazon and a credit card did very bad things for me when I was a student! But then, you've got a real income, haven't you? I was living off a scholarship and sessional tutoring, which didn't really pay for my addiction (but at least I didn't end up mugging people to feed my habit).

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
Heee, I quite deliberately waited until I had a proper income before getting this credit card. It may still be a bad move, but I'm generally pretty stingy. Too may years of practice to break so far. For instance, these movies were cheap on the Canadian Amazon, but expensive on the American one. BARGAIN!

Hehe, that's an amazing reason to buy a dvd if ever there was one. XD Joshua is awesome =D

Hey I did the same thing, I just bought 'A Dog's Breakfast' two weeks ago because it has DH in it.

Thankfully it turned out to be a hilarious movie so I was pleased, but Amazon is indeed quite the temptress.

Joshua Jackson on a motor bike? Really? Hmmm. *eyes Amazon website*

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! I'll let you know if it's good. It had reasonable reviews. :)

Dogs Breakfast was pretty funny! I saw it at a friend's place. :) DH is the reason I also own Cube and Nothing. I'd recommend Nothing. It's hilarious and Cube is very well done, though a bit gory in places. *nods*

oooo, Joshua on a motorcycle... you couldn't pass that up!! :D

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Nope I really couldn't! *facepalms and grins* It wasn't too expensive, even with shipping, so I could justify it. :)

[identity profile] merlins-sister.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Excellent decision! I have no idea what the films are, but Josh Jackson... always a winner.

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
Heeee hehehehe! This is a totally new fascination for me. I never did watch Dawson's Creek. :P

[identity profile] merlins-sister.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh you missed so much! Never have we screamed at a TV screen so much. :D

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-02-08 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
I saw those out on DVD in JB HiFi. He looks like a little kid. I wanna squish his cheeks. Not sure I could watch that. lol Though they weren't exorbitantly priced. I'm guessing they'd be less than good now, in retrospect?

[identity profile] merlins-sister.livejournal.com 2010-02-08 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I think our only issue with them is how old WE feel. :D I think they're still entertaining in their way.

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-02-09 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Hrrm, maybe. Having never watched them to begin with, I just don't know if they'd be enjoyable or stuck in an era. Eh. Whatever. I may give in and buy one at some point.

lol, that motorbike one got recced by Chuck Campbell! I want to see sometime myself.

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-02-08 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know who that is, but it sounds good! :D
The second DVD I was getting couldn't be ordered or something... got cancelled, but I'm still getting the motorbike one. \o/

[identity profile] missyvortexdv.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
He's Chuck the Technician (SGA) and quite a hoot at conventions is he. I watched a film he was in "My Dog Vincent" which I got signed and said I really enjoyed, and he mentioned the motorbike film "One Week" (?) with Joshua is done by same director/writer, Michael McGowan.

[identity profile] starrylizard.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh Chuck! Cool! :)
