What was that...

like the fifth crack episode in a row? Has Supernatural lost the plot completely?

Yes it's mildly amusing. Although, that is about the fourth (possibly fifth?) time over the series they've given Sam an uncomfortable itch for their own amusement... and it was wearing really thin last episode. Yep, that's two episodes in a row Sam has itched for a cheap laugh.

Don't get me wrong, I did actually giggle through much of this episode unlike some of their other crack episodes (I generally like the crack episodes, but usually they are interspersed as one or two eps in a season, right?), BUT where is the apocalypse?

My personal theory is that Kripke, after stating he only had five seasons of material, has now realised that the Js were signed on for six. And I suspect he's been paid a lot of money by the CW to streeeeetch his one last season of material out into two seasons. Therefore all this filler is just that, filler.

Then my experience with watching all billionty seasons of the XFiles where the poor actors were locked into contracts in a similar fashion may simply have made me jaded.

Kripke, please do something to make me believe again. Not that I won't watch anyway (the J's are good and the bits of plot you're giving us are interesting), but it's not the show I fell in love with any more.

Toodles
Me

P.S. I still love Supernatural. Please don't hate me. :P

I liked the episode and if it had just been a one off inbetween some angst like they usually are, I would have been squeeing my brains out, but I'm a little fed up atm. I do hope my theory is proven incorrect, but these eps feel like filler and nothing more. So why not give us a nice juicy MOTW like in S1? Even the MOTW have been crack lately. *le sigh* However, I am trying my best to just enjoy and not harsh people's squee (or let mine die), truly I am. But enough is enough with the crack. I'm not entirely sure what audience they are even aiming these eps at any more.

*runs away to her happy S2 fanfic writing place* :P

Oh, season 2!

Man, I want a good MOTW that's actually stemmed in an urban legend! Where's my next Bloody Mary and Hookman and such!

Yeah, exactly. See. And I'm really trying hard not to gripe. I am. But I want what the show used to be. I actually miss those MoTW, two brothers in a car, saving people, hunting things, episodes. Now they can add an angel to the mix, I don't mind. Why not even have them exorcising some demons the old fashion way and Sam being tempted, must be a bunch o' demons loose now. Or the rest of the horsemen? Or just a random urban legend? Come on show. I know you can do it. *cheers writers on*
