Merlin 2x2

Not sure if I have ever mentioned this, but one of the main reasons I watch Merlin is for Guinevere. She is awesome!

*Is in little girly squee heaven right now*

I did a little happy dance of joy when they kissed! It was so romantic (ok, cheesy, but in a good way). I've seen people complaining that it was too soon, but I didn't see it that way. It wasn't a "behold our passionate love that knows no status bounds", it was very chaste, and more of a promise of things to come than anything else.

Also, her new dress this season is much richer. I wonder if Morgana gave it to her? *raises brow* Maybe someone should write a fic... *raises other brow*

I read some comment fic about that over at [livejournal.com profile] gwenmorganabbc I think, right after the promo pics came out. Suddenly she looks so regal. I personally like to think Morgana has been having fun dressing her maid in her hand-me-dwn royal gowns. :)

Are your eyebrows meant to make me write?

And yes, it was so girly romantic...the kiss and him falling from the horse and she's running down to him... *clutches hands over heart* Lovely! And yeah, they've acknowledged it can't happen yet, while not ruling it out. Oh bless. :)

My problem is I keep looking at Merlin's Gwen and thinking of all the Guinevere-mythology and I want to scream at them: "Don't go there! It doesn't end well!" But maybe if this is a complete retelling ...

*haven't seen any of Season Two, but am a happy spoilerphile for Merlin*

As you say you're a happy spoilerphile... Let's just say they are going there. There was smooching...and I know what you say, but it was awfully romantic...and next week's preview has Morgana getting her magic on. It's moving very quickly toward the proper legend in its own way.

Yes, but with Morgana Uther's 'ward' and Mordred a young druid it appears to be making the legend very family-friendly. No incest here! Which raises the question as to why (or whether) this version of Camelot will fall.
