There's not much info, but it seems Lubna al-Hussein has been released. A woman who was convicted at a trial for wearing pants -- clothing deemed indecent by Sudanese authorities -- was released from jail Tuesday after being imprisoned for a day, a United Nations spokesman said. - CNN

The report I read said that she paid the fine after one night in jail. I can't help being a bit disappointed by that, if it's true, because she'd seemed so determined not to. However another article I read (http://english.aljazeera.net/news/africa/2009/09/200998152754685257.html) said that the journalist's union paid it on her behalf. I can't help hoping that's the case because I do respect her hugely for standing up for her beliefs.

Hmm, interesting. I did wonder. That CNN article only had that one line and then a repeat of the previous coverage. She was pretty inspiring in her determination, so I hope it's the latter as well.
