Eight! Eeee!

Finally got my hands on the Eight Doctor Movie. You know, from the audios, I never imagined the trippy frizzy hair. lulz. I like the jacket though. Ah, Paul. *grin* What's got me frustrated is I'm almost 30mins into it and (apart from the intro voiceover) no McGann sexy voice.

Ooh he's talking now. *is happy*

Ha! The Master's got psychadelic green contact lenses. Oh that is so right.

I think the audios are invading my brain too. Today, at lunch, I sketched out a Ruby (from Demons)/8th Doctor fic. It's, I think it would really work. :)

I'll shut up now and watch the movie, huh. :)
Pfft, okay, I like the audios much better. Still, that was terribly fun in that cheesy B-grade American movie way. The Doctor in a car chase on a motor bike. Ha!

I'd say it's a little like, Indiana Jones meets Doctor Who meets Ghost Busters with extra cheese and McGann sexy voice. Or something.

The movie is pretty awful :)

One of my friends wrote and Eight/Rose fic.

I think there must be a few Eight/Rose fics judging from the icons I've found tonight. That or people just like manipping them.

I can't say I'd watch that again, but it was good for lulz! The audios have my vote for Eight. :)

The Doctor in a car chase on a motor bike. Ha!

Wherein two semi-trailers drive side-by-side on a single lane road for no discernable reason, other than to necessitate driving a motorcycle between them. *facepalm*

The Telemovie makes me quite glad that Fox didn't continue trying to make Doctor Who. Much as I love it both for itself and the 'first new Who in years' factor, it's... um. Very different. I'd like to think that RTD saw the movie, went 'Oh hell no,' and started planning the new series. ^.^

But I do like the take on gun-usage, and I believe that was the first Doctor-nipple sighting, among other things. Oh and the newscaster who says "Most accurate atomic clock in the world" about a hundred times was an actual newscaster from the Canadian partner-station, which got to air the movie a day before anywhere else.

Fountain of useless trivia, me.

I love you for your trivia. You must know that! :)
Yes, it certainly is a unique Doctor Who. Hee! I'm only glad it spawned all the 8th Doctor audios, which have kept me entertained in countless boring situations. :)

Well then, happy it was of some use.

I don't think I've ever listened to a Doctor Who audiobook. I don't often do audiobooks, though, so that's not an astounding gap in my life experience. I'll have to see if I can get them out at the library one of these days.

These are mostly audio plays from Big Finish (BBC7). They are acted out with different people playing the characters and sound effects and stuff. Really quite trippy and fun. :)

Thanks, I'll have to track them down sometime! ;-)
