Supernatural convention - Misha!

Okay, so I'm on a roll with the photo cropping and such, so I bring you Misha. As with the other two posts, please credit the awesome mcalex22 and her super camera for the pics.

Some rambling and piccies of Misha occurs behind the following cut.

The first thing rinkle and I did was to buy a Misha photo and we got to snuggle up for the photo. *grin* You know me by now... you won't find that one in here. But it's a nice photo. :)

On to the Q&A. I really didn't know what to expect from Misha. I wasn't a fan or foe. I like Castiel as a character, but I wasn't instantly drawn to Misha on looks or whatever. I have to say I have a big soft spot for the guy now, though! He really is very adorable, genuinely nice and he has this very dry sense of humour. He somehow managed to point out the silly-ness (so not a word, but whatever) of several people's questions (or the wording of them) and he never came across as a dick while doing it. *LOVE* \o/

I think this is his sincere face. No idea what he was talking about at the time. Sorry.



So, Misha was actually the first one out to do his Q&A. He sat down and looked around the uni lecture theatre and commented on how he felt like he should start talking about maths. He made some comment about having nowhere to put his drink and the host started sliding over a lectern thing (it's in some of the pics with the Fantales sitting on it). Misha then looked a little stunned and said he was only joking. "Bring me a table and [something] and a pony!" and the pony jokes started form there. He sure talked about ponies a lot. :P



Misha once interned in the White House (is White House one word or two?) under Clinton!



One chick told Misha how her cat was also called Misha... and she's blind and female. Misha: "And you're telling me this because?" lol We were all wondering that.



Misha had some very thinky thoughts about God in the show. One girl asked a question about what he thought about God being introduced into the canon. Something like that, and his response was to ask her why she thought God had been introduced as canon. The writers have left it very open to interpretation as to whether there is a God at all. Obviously the angels are all very conflicted over the point and they've said only three of them have ever even seen God. He started talking about God jumping off a cloud or something and the chick asking the question started to worry that she'd started off something bad I think, so they moved on to the next question.



At Australian conventions, the mic mostly just gets passed about the room. There are little people running about with the microphones to people who put up their hand. They asked Misha to point out who was next and Misha joked that he could pick people on opposite sides of the room and see how fast the microphone runners could run. lol



Misha joked about how Castiel seemed to be a complete whoss (sp?) compared to the other angels. He said it's weird how a knife-wound or bullets don't bother him at all, but punch him twice... He then extrapolated to say that maybe if someone called him names, that'd be it. :P



Misha joked that he thinks Castiel's super powers are supernatural darning and dry-cleaning, but he can't iron that way.



If Misha could have one of Castiel's powers in real life, he'd want to be able to turn off car alarms with a hand gesture. :P





Wow that was pretty talkative for me. I really liked listening to Misha though. He's a sweet guy. Very engaging. :)

And as an extra! derry667 always brings along Cuddles the Spider or K-9 to conventions and gets a picture of the guests with them. This time she got Misha with Cuddles and how absolutely adorable is this? Seriously! Please credit derry667 not me if you take the pic. :)

I hadnt seen any of season 4 prior to the con on Sat (so happy I got to watch Yellow Fever!) so like you I didnt know what to expect from Misha or know much about Castiel, And I agree he was adorable. I'm very interested in him now ^^

He was just adorable and he's so very different to Castiel! I love that. Same with the Js. They aren't their characters, which is a sign of good acting and makes the Q&A sessions so much more interesting. :)

The invisible fighting pony cronies! *giggle* I loved that.

Yeah, it was lovely! I really enjoyed Misha's Q&A, mostly because I ha no idea what to expect and he turned out to be so lovely...but I mostly just really enjoyed catching up with all my Sydney friends. They are made of awesome and I miss them! I spent Sunday hanging out with Yokiem and shopping before I got the bus, so that was really pleasant too. :)

Great con report! I was a bit sad I didn't get to be there with you guys but I'm enjoying reading everyone's snippets about the event and it sounds like there wasn't many questions of the variety I love to hate ("So, do you read slash fiction and/or would you kiss your co-star now so we can take photos?"!!! O.O)

Great photos of Misha, and it sounds like he's a nice, funny bloke as well as an awesome angel on TV. =D

I've been reading Sunday reports, cos I only went Saturday. Apparently on Sunday, according to reports, Misha was hiding out in the back of the audience screaming like a girl over the J's and then he got a mic and asked them if they found it weird acting brothers since they were obviously in a relationship in real life...or some such. And the whole audience was like O_O and then he came running down the stairs to reveal himself. lol

I kinda fell in love with that guy. He's just too funny. :P

You know, we really need to meet when you're back in Oz. Yokiem, Mcalex22 and Derry keep assuming I know you. :)
