Every time I ask rinkle for a prompt, she tells me "trees," so I wrote a drabble. It could turn into a longer fic later, but it's just a drabble for now.



He knew logically he would have fallen quickly, but it seemed like slow motion. From the moment the claws slashed his skin, time slowed down, the world grew silent and he watched himself falling. He was dimly aware of hitting the ground, a dull thud and prickle of twigs and grass against numbed skin.

Then he was on his back, watching the trees, their branches blowing in the wind, hiding and revealing a dark sky and full moon – clouds and stars. Until a bulky figure blocked all of that out and replaced it with Sam’s concerned face. “I've gotcha, Dean.”

Actually I hated drabbles to write until just recently, but SPN is somehow a good fandom for them. Or I'm just getting less wordy. It's pretty fun to try to convey a scene in 100 words. I'm glad it worked for you. :)
