yokiem is always telling me how great this show is, but I rarely remember to watch it. I missed the beginning of it again tonight.

I am seriously amused here. I'll have to watch more.

They are testing Mercedes vs Porche sports cars tonight. Of course the way to test which one is better would be to race them around a mock village with SAS soldiers (laser)shooting at you. He's wearing a vest which registers the hits on his person. The theory being that the fastest, most agile car will of course be the one that manages to earn him the fewest hits. Well dah, of course! :P

These guys are nuts! I'm cackling like a crazy person here, and, my god how their descriptions of the cars are hilarious.

The cars are so pretty. Reminds me of James Bond movies.
They're such big kids too. Going on about which car makes the best noises. Love these guys. And I know nothing about cars, but it seriously matters not a bit.

Oh and this awesome German lady was trying to race a van around a track in record time. Hilarious. She was overtaking people in sports cars and motorbikes!! hehehe.

Okay, I'll shut up now.

That show aired here (USA) on Discovery for a season, but I've never seen it scheduled again. :( Pity because I thought it was hilarious.

I'm not a big fan of car shows on TV, but I absolutely love Top Gear since I saw the first ep. That was over a year ago, and by now I've seen so much of that show that really made me ROFLMAO, I simply love it! The three guys are definitely nuts, but so funny! When Hammond was injured I was shocked and went to the website every day to check for updates on his condition.
I haven't seen the brand new eps yet, because my now ex-bf was the big Top Gear fan in our household and managed to get all the eps, since we don't live together anymore I have to find news ways to see the new eps...

Look out for the winter olympics! And the caravan trip! And the self-made houseboats! You'll laugh yourself silly. :)

By the way, the German lady that raced around the Nuremburgring with a van was Sabine Schmitz, I really admire that woman: http://www.sabine-schmitz-motorsport.de/

I think Yokiem was telling me about the caravan trip. I'll have to get some of the old (and new) episodes off her, if she still has them. :)

Sabine was very cool! There aren't enough women to do the crazy stuff in the world. She was very brave in the van and sensible enough to give up, before it got too dangerous too. :)

I think in a couple episodes after that Jeremy gets told that he slipped a spinal disk from doing too many outrageous manoevures when testing cars and he cant drive for 6 months!!

I finally remembered to get that American episode off my brother and I also got the one wth Richard Hammond's accident.
