Oh and am I going crazy or is there only slash fic out there at the moment? I don't mind slash, but I seem to only find Shep/McKay slash...I mean I can't find any fics about other SGA characters at all lately! It's weirding me out. Where have the other fics gone. *scratches head* Maybe it's just today...

Oh and I am now officially the "Technology appropriations officer" in cultoftherodney for those times when another pesky scientist gets to a piece of technology first, when you know Rodney should really have it! Craziness!

Hmmm how odd. I typed a lj user name. It should say it's like sg_lonelyship, but with more postings going on. Or something like that. *glares at laptop* It's having a bad week. *pats laptop* Could be because I've already dled over 2Gb and I only get 600mb at broadband speeds. :p

That's not unusual. *g* Most SGA fic out there seems to be Shep/McKay. *looks at your comms* Try atlantisfic maybe. Or you could venture into ff.net (unless you have already). Make sure you're well armed. :P

Yep Atlantisfic is the one with no slash policy methinks, so that would make sense. I tend to hit "friends" or the "fic" filter I made and read whatever comes up, but lately it's all McKay/SHep. Not that all mcKay/Shep is bad...some of it is very good, it's just they aren't my favourite pairing by a long shot, unless it's very well done or a really gorgeous AU. I prefer the friendship fics with them. That said, I think I'm about to write one, so I should shut up. I can't resist the challenge on artword, but there's no way to get around that one being a tad slashy. :p

Ack! Sorry. I assumed you would've known - it's the place where most fic gets posted, the archive of mostly-crap-and-sometimes-good fic. Fanfiction.net. Atlantis has it's share of bad fic there, but a lot of it is really quite good.

No, I know what you mean. I like it, but I have others I love, and the sheer prevalence of it makes me want to avoid it sometimes. *g*

Hehe. Yup, every once in a while there is a diamond in the rough!

You might also want to try www.wraithbait.com It has a *lot* of slash but it also has a considerable het archive. Also, they make sure submissions are spell checked and formatted so there is usually pretty decent stuff there.

Yeah I should search wraithbait sometime. I only really search for authors I know there. I haven't figured out how else to mine the site...not that I've really tried.

Right fanfiction.net. Makes way more sense now. I was a-takin' you too literally! I did know about that one. I even opened an account, but I've yet to put anyting in it. I was thinking of archiving my fic there at one point...after I followed a link to ljmckay's fic there. Then it made me wait three days before letting me post anything and I forgot about it!
