UP

The new Pixar movie "UP" is the cutest, most amazing, beautiful movie ever.

Cover your ears if anyone tries to tell you anything about it, because you'll enjoy it no matter who you are. Just GO! It's a masterpiece of the imagination and so detailed and wonderous! There were so many points where Dad and I were laughing so hard we were wiping tears from our eyes! And other bits you just "aww" out loud. Just beautiful! \o/

FIVE Starrylizard STARS *****

My hubby has been really wanting to see this and I haven't been that interested .. but now you have given it 5 SL Stars... I think I am keen to see it. Thanks. (Well, my hubby thanks you 'cos I've been putting it off!)

I do hope you enjoy it! It's just so clever. I don't think I've been really touched by an animated movie like that before. :)

So, suitable for an auntie to take a seven-year-old boy and five-year-old girl to?

Yep. It'd be similar to seeing the Lion King or something in terms of there being sad bits and slightly scary bits, but it all works out in the end. I do believe Pixar set this one up in such a way that adults will get ten times more out of it than kids. But there's loads of humour and slapstick to engage the kids too. :)

Good to know. The movies I have sat through as auntie or baby-sitter or just grown-up friend ...

I heard the ABC Adelaide guy review this the other week when we were sitting on the banks of the Cooper Creek fishing and drinking wine (*gloats a little*) and they said it was wonderful and gorgeous and such a beautiful movie. This is the time that I wish I had a movie theatre less than 800km away. LOL!
