Okay, that is not where I expected that to go.

Castiel is suddenly acting like a dick. Boo!

And I'm assuming the story Ruby told Sam means that Sam becoming a demon is the final seal. Unless I'm somehow reading that very wrong, that was kinda incredibly heavy-handed.

So Dean's gonna have to stop Sam from being lured into becoming a demon (and thereby becoming the 66th seal). Uh huh. Oh no, Sam becoming a demon AND killing Lillith is the 66th seal... so Dean may have to save Lillith to save Sam... or am I getting this wrong?

Note this is all speculation, cos I don't read spoilers. Really.

Why the hell did Dean try the same line on Sam that John did? WTF? That seemed way outta character. I'm sorry.

Also Bobby seemed out of character. I mean I'm glad he couldn't shoot Sam or anything, but the whole maybe we're killing him and being ready to sacrifice Sam even though he's like a son to him? (Is he possessed by an angel or something? Don't answer that, it's too stupid.) It just felt wrong. Not Bobby.

Pfft.

You know, I kept thinking that Bobby was going to suddenly grin and we'd discover that it was Zachariah all along!

Sam becoming a demon being the last seal... I hadn't thought about that! But it's a great speculation. Oh, cruel cruel capricious SPN!God! why did you leave us there???

Well, at least next episode is next week, no mini-hiatus of evilness as they threatened :-|

Oh good, it wasn't just me. Yeah, I was thinking is Dean also hallucinating? or is Bobby not Bobby? cos he just wasn't. I swear. Even the not-shooting Sam was a bit weak. I would've expected fisty-cuffs or a flesh-wound or Dean to knock him out from behind. I guess it just felt too contrived. *hands*

Oooh I didn't know they were threatening hiatus. I'm glad they're not.
