New vid: The Supernatural Pretender

Ah, did anyone, other than me, get addicted to the show "The Pretender" when it was on? Anyway, I managed to watch a few episodes again the other day and my brain decided Sam (or Dean) could so be The Pretender and so I've redone the opening sequence using Sam. I tried to make it as identical as I could, so I hope it works. If anyone wants to compare to the original opening sequence, I've uploaded it to Youtube for comparison *HERE*.

AAAahahahaha! YES! This is brilliant! I've actually been rewatching The Pretender lately, and noticed how crazy-similar it is Supernatural. Ten bucks says Kripke was a fan. ;)

It's almost creepy how you found clips that make this look almost identical to The Pretender opening. O.O

The Pretender used to be my favorite show ( before I discovered the awesomeness that is supernatural ) and I've been wanting to write a crossover for like, ages. ( I kinda think more of Dean as a Pretender, but that could be discussed ). Thing is, writing something like that shouldn't be taken too lightly and I don't trust myself with that.

Guh, it was really fun and nice and cute small promo\open credits. I watched your version and the original one. Though i have never seen this tv show, i think you did a very nice job with this! I liked that you take and audio track from the original promo, so the voiceovers sounded very cool) Especially i liked the clip you put there on "Are you a doctor? - I am today" Ha, it was very fun)

Pretender was the first show I really obsessed about, and when I was on exchange in Japan and starting venturing into Dark Angel forums, I met a group of Pretender fans, sme of whom I'm still in contact with eight years later. tP was also the first fandom I wrote fic for.

Awesome vid! I'm a lip-synch nazi because I recently edited a video-taped musical production and spent hours making sure people's lips and movements synched with the soundtracks, but I think you did pretty well... =D Fantastic cutting in my opinion, and congrats on using that "Pretenderish" text font and merging the logos!

I used to love Pretender so this whole vid was instantly made of awesome when I read the premise. Such a cool idea. Nice clip choices and editing. And the ending cracked me up.

Sam as a Pretender makes a lot of sense. Both shows are strong on family. Both shows have mysterious things happening during the leads childhood. And both shows are about saving people and hunting things. OK, Jarod completely messes the bad guys up without the rock salt and latinating, but he still gets the job done. Crossover fic would be so cool. I'd love to see a scene with Ellen and Ms. Parker facing off. Or Dean and Sam running into Jarod while all three of them are posing as Feds. :)
