Eee! This fic was adorably clever. *smishes it* John making some of their training into a game is a great idea. I've never been able to see the boys' childhood as completely devoid of fun or John as a total ogre. There's an underlying sadness to what he's teaching Sammy, sure, but at the same time it's nice to see these less angsty domestic moments.
