I've always been a huge fan of Linkin Park.  The lyrics have quite often articulated feelings I didn't know how to or even know I wanted to, and helped me realise I'm not alone in feeling that way.  Chester leaving this Earth recently... it hit me so hard.  I cry over some of the same lyrics now, knowing he helped me so much by putting his heart and mind out there and yet in the end he couldn't save himself.  Heavy is my song right now.  The first verse is essentially my life right now.  It is getting better though.  Love you Chester.  xx

His death hit me harder than I thought it would. I think it hit me like that due to the timing. I lost my mom twenty years ago, (she had cancer), and we knew it was going to happen. I still can't help but think his kids had no warning.

Heavy helped me a lot too. I don't have the problems with mental illness he did, but I was pretty stressed out when the song was released. I'd listen to it on repeat and it would help me feel better.

I'm glad others are still finding solace in his words, and I hope things keep getting better for you. *hugs* ♥

Thank you! It was nice to read the LP forums and see similar stories. He touched so many people. Sorry to hear about your mom's early passing. I can't even imagine.

I haven't seen the LP forums, but I've seen similar sentiments expressed on twitter. He did so much good for so many people.
