X-Files was the first fandom I read fanfic and watched music videos in. I remember racing home with my friend one night when she suddenly remembered that she forgot to put a new tape in for it to record. Oh, the panic!
Stargate was the first fandom I participated in.

Hawkeye thing was unexpected, but I didn't mind it. I liked the idea of it being a safe haven for them all. First movie remains my favorite.
As for XF fandom--Oh yeah! I just recycled binders full of XF fanfic I had printed off eons ago. Have you ever read the Blood Ties series by Dawn? http://dawnsunrise.tripod.com/bloodties.html It's AU. Mulder finds out he has a brother after his mom dies. Though Mulder and Scully are a wee bit OOC some of the time maybe, it's my all time favorite X-Files fanfic series. I just reread them recently and it's a total bummer to realize that Grey (Mulder's brother) doesn't exist in canon. lol It's Mulder/Scully with loads of awesome Skinner and big brother Grey. TONS of whumpage and cases to solve, too.
