Also Comforting Distraction by mydeira. (Gwen/Owen, She rates it as R, but it isn't really - they get naked, nothing more.) I just like the flow of the story and it's nicely in character and a little romantic.

How totally awesome was Torchwood this week? It totally made up for the craptitude of last week's episode, which seemed to be all about "look lesbians" and just annoyed me. They don't make a deal out of the male homosexual relationships going on at all and it just ended up annoying me. Might just be me though.

But this week... Woo! I was actually leaning in toward the screen worried about what would happen (I say this even though it was obvious, but it was so cool!)

Anyway, not particularly spoilery comment, so just look and tell me I'm not imagining... When they pull her out of the freezer the first time, her pulse is really obvious in her neck! It just amused and disturbed me...I mean of course the actress is alive, but they practically zoomed in on her pulse. :P

Also...Stopwatch? O_o

Hahaha! I saw the same comment in other people's lj's and had no idea what it meant... now I'm writing the same thing. :P

Ah, I knew something had to be good today.

Holy moley! I spoke too soon when I thought I'd found the weirdest ever SPAM mail title. Just got one that had the subject of : Copulate facial Bwah?!

I found the perfect postcard for my Campaign (link contains cast spoilers). It has a kangaroo surfing and a caption that reads "How do I stop this bloody thing?" Hehe! I may scan it later. It amused me greatly!

Torchwood is my new show! I never thought I'd fangirl anything as much as I do Atlantis (and I totally still fangirl Atlantis), but Torchwood is just so wacky! It's like watching fanfiction in action. Made a vid the other night (see previous post) and I totally dig the Gwen/Owen thing. Also John Barrowman is love. He's just so sweet and he's coming to Sydney in March!

I have started watching Dr Who, since I figure it must have been good to spawn Torchwood. All I can say is why did no one tell me it was so fun? I mean, yeah, people talk about it, but no one sat me down and said "watch this now!" I've watched the first four episodes and I'm amused to have already seen Tosh and Gwen (from Torchwood) in there. Hee! Well Gwen isn't quite the same since in DW she dies, but still. Fun! I'll be happily watching the rest. I only have S1. *looks hopefully at flist (mostly the rl bunch) for S2*

Also THIS little, highly informative and incredibly articulate rant about the proper use of the 'passive voice' in writing is just priceless. Someone (sorry I can no longer remember who it was) pointed this out and I just chuckled through it.


Finally, how wonderful is that interview with John Barrowman (Captain Jack on Doctor Who and Torchwood)? I haven't laughed so hard in ages. I've never seen an interview so uncensored and JB is so open. Oh I love him so. Figures I'd fall for the gay ones. :P

He walks his dog in a baby carriage, is going to marry his boyfriend (together fo over 15 yrs), talks about being gay and how Jack is 'omnisexual', the look on his face when they play this terrible movie he was in with a giant shark, and just such a fabulously entertaining interview. It was gleeful and cheered me up when I was in need of cheer. Yay! *hugs him*
