There's been too major cases of fraud in previous years. He was probably referring to Hendrik Schon, who was found to have committed fraud on about 17 different things. At one point, he was writing a paper every 8 days...and nobody noticed that he was using the same graphs, but labelling them differently, etc. He used theoretical curves, that he claimed were experimental data. He was on line for a Nobel prize.
